Zoom Teeth Whitening at Jax Beaches Family Dentistry

A Brighter Smile in Just One Visit
Looking for a noticeably whiter smile—quickly and safely? At Jax Beaches Family Dentistry, we offer Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed, a professional whitening treatment trusted by dentists around the world. It’s ideal for patients who want fast, effective results with little to no sensitivity.

What Is Zoom Teeth Whitening?
Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed is an in-office whitening system that uses a specialized LED lamp to activate a powerful whitening gel. This helps lift deep stains and discoloration—often in just one visit.
We also pair it with a Zoom NiteWhite take-home kit so you can extend and maintain your results at home.
Zoom Whitening

Professional whitening products contain either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide as the active whitening ingredient.
Hydrogen peroxide is a fast-acting ingredient that releases most of its whitening power within 90 minutes, reaching maximum whitening strength at 30 minutes. In contrast, carbamide peroxide releases its whitening power within five hours and reaches its maximum strength in two hours.

Is Zoom Whitening Right for You?
Before any whitening treatment, we’ll perform a quick screening to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy.
- Have untreated cavities or gum disease.
- Are undergoing periodontal treatment.
- Have failing dental restorations.
- Are under 13 years old.
- Are pregnant, nursing, or have certain health conditions.
Our team will let you know if whitening is a good option for you, or if another treatment is better suited to your needs.

Need Help?
What to Expect
Step 1: Before Whitening
- We’ll evaluate your current tooth shade and check for any visible enamel spots.
- To reduce sensitivity, we recommend using a desensitizing toothpaste (free of stannous fluoride) twice a day for two weeks before your appointment.
- We may also recommend a special gel (Relief® ACP) to help keep you comfortable before and after treatment.
Step 2: During Your Appointment
- We’ll protect your lips and gums, then apply the Zoom whitening gel.
- The Zoom WhiteSpeed LED lamp activates the gel over four 15-minute sessions.
- If needed, we can adjust the lamp intensity or apply protective gel to sensitive areas.
Step 3: After Whitening
- We’ll show you your new shade and provide custom trays with relief gel for sensitivity management.
- You’ll receive a Zoom NiteWhite take-home kit to continue whitening at home for 2–4 weeks.
- Avoid staining foods and drinks (like coffee, red wine, or tea) for at least two hours after treatment.
- To keep your results bright, use a power toothbrush daily and avoid chlorhexidine rinses for two weeks.
Is Sensitivity Normal?
Some patients experience mild sensitivity during or after whitening. This is caused by the hydrogen peroxide temporarily stimulating the nerves inside the teeth.
The good news?
Most sensitivity is temporary and fades within 24–48 hours. We’ll guide you through every step to help keep you comfortable.

What’s in the Whitening Gel?
Zoom products use two types of professional-strength whitening ingredients:
- Hydrogen Peroxide (HP) – fast-acting, with most whitening happening within 30–90 minutes
- Carbamide Peroxide (CP) – slower release, ideal for take-home use or sensitive teeth
We’ll choose the best formula for your needs to give you safe, noticeable results.
